Mission of club:

Students will be provided with group instruction in a particular dance for several weeks contiguously.  Our goals are to:

  • Promote an understanding and appreciation of, and ability in, partner dances for social and/or exhibition purposes.

  • Train a new generation of students with skills in leading, following and the social etiquette in partnered dances.

  • Develop confidence in weight change, directional movement, and differentiating rhythms as part of proper lead and follow techniques.

  • Have fun, enjoy music at another level, and keep active!!!!!!!!!!!!

Number of Participants:

30-40 weekly, currently for Salsa-mambo; some dances may draw more or fewer students.

Ideally, we will retain a core group of students (15-20?) who are interested in learning many dances and can build enhanced dance skills by transferring knowledge of one dance type to another.
